For the best heritage cross-border project.


We are glad to announce that “In Between? Searching for Local Histories in Borderlands of Europe” project was recognized as the best heritage cross-border project at the Eastern Europe Initiative Congress.

“In Between?”aims at encouraging a new generation of Europeans aged 18-25 to explore 20th-century history through personal accounts and visits to Europe's culturally most interesting border regions.

The Eastern Europe Initiative Congress took place in Lublin, Poland between 29 September and 1 October 2016. Participants discussed the changing structure of the culture sector and systemic transformation. It also addressed such issues as the questions of memory, history of conflicts, reflection on human attitudes, current challenges in multicultural education and search for models of conciliation in Central and Eastern Europe.
