Anniversary of martial law in Poland - light a candle!

32 years ago martial law was imposed in Poland to crush the Solidarity movement. The Institute of National Remembrance invites everyone to light a symbolic candle to the memory of the victims.

10 December - Human Rights Day

65 years ago, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with eight abstentions, including Poland. Today Poland is one of the symbols of a successful fight for freedom and human rights.

For this occasion a special website about the Human Rights Day was launched by polskieradio.pl in cooperation with ENRS (in Polish).

"We shall remember" exhibition about Andrzej Przewoźnik in Katowice

"We shall remember / Elmékeinkben. Andrzej Przewoźnik. 1963–2010. Katyń" - an exhibition dedicated to the memory of Andrzej Przewoźnik will be presented from 2 December 2013 in the Chamber of Memory of the Mine ‘Wujek’. The exhibition will be open till 17 January 2014.
