  • Fall of the Berlin Wall

The Berlin wall, a symbol of communism and division of Germany, falls. The cries of joy of the people who can cross the border on Berlin’s Bornholm street on the evening of 9 November 1989 still echoes today. The nightly images of the Wall at the Brandenburg Gate, with hundreds of people standing on it and celebrating, are unforgettable.

Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, was a pogrom against Jews throughout Nazi Germany and parts of Austria on 9–10 November 1938, carried out by SA paramilitary forces and non-Jewish civilians.
