On the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity (ENRS) invites journalists from around the world to take part in the competition: “WWII 80 Years After. What Remains From the Second World War Today?”
The war, in which 80% of the world at that time participated, permanently changed the landscape of Europe and the world – shaping borders, societies, memory, and national identity. Today we ask: how is its legacy perceived in different countries? How does it influence contemporary geopolitics, architecture, historical education, or collective memory?
We encourage participants to explore not only the scars left by the conflict but also the lessons that continue to guide international dialogue and cooperation. Submissions can shed light on untold stories, overlooked perspectives, and the relevance of WWII to present-day challenges. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a global discussion on history, identity, and responsibility.
Join the competition and make your voice part of the story that shapes how we remember, and how we move forward!
