We are happy to share the results of the recruitment process for the tenth edition of the In Between? summer school, taking place in the European City of Görlitz–Zgorzelec from 21–31 August 2025.
The call for applications drew interest from students and young professionals across the European Union, aged 18–26, with backgrounds in the arts and humanities. The Selection Team was impressed by the diverse range of experiences and the strong motivation shown by all applicants. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who applied.

During the programme, participants will explore memory cultures in European borderlands shaped by 20th-century upheavals. After a preparatory online session in July, they will join workshops and conduct field research in Görlitz–Zgorzelec. Their findings will be turned into a podcast episode, later published on Spotify and Simplecast. Since 2016, In Between? has explored 26 regions and received a Europa Nostra Special Mention in 2018.
