This year, the #RememberAugust23 campaign highlights intergenerational trauma – the emotional and psychological legacies passed down through families affected by war, repression, and totalitarian regimes. On 23 August, European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Totalitarian Regimes, we honour those who suffered and recognize how their experiences continue to shape communities and individuals across generations.
As part of the campaign, we invite you to take part in our Instagram contest. Through this initiative, you can share your reflections, family memories, or personal insights by completing one of the unfinished sentences featured in our contest graphic. Selected participants will win an prize package, helping us celebrate and preserve stories that might otherwise remain unspoken.
