8. mája 1945 nacistické Nemecko bezpodmienečne kapitulovalo pred spojeneckými vojskami a tým ukončilo druhú svetovú vojnu v Európe.

Rozsah konfliktu bol globálny: 60 zúčastnených krajín, vojenské operácie v 40 štátoch, 100 miliónov mobilizovaných osôb a 50 až 70 miliónov mŕtvych.

Film pripomína rozhodujúce udalosti a ľudské osudy: rozbitie Československa, pakt Molotov–Ribbentrop, bleskovú vojnu a kapituláciu Varšavy, teror okupácie a systematické vyvražďovanie poľskej elity, bitku o Monte Cassino, Varšavské povstanie, oslobodenie koncentračného tábora Osvienčim–Brezinka, Jaltskú konferenciu, bombardovanie Drážďan, pád Berlína a napokon bezpodmienečnú kapituláciu Nemecka 8. mája 1945.

1945. május 8-án a náci Németország feltétel nélkül megadta magát a szövetséges erőknek, ezzel véget vetve a második világháborúnak Európában. 2025-ben, nyolcvan évvel később, megemlékezünk erről a pusztító konfliktusról, amely emberek millióinak életét követelte, és alapvetően megváltoztatta a világrendet.

Bemutatjuk új oktatási célú animációs filmünk premierjét, amelyet a második világháború befejezésének 80. évfordulója alkalmából készítettünk. A film végigvezeti a nézőket a háború legfontosabb állomásain – a náci Németország agressziójától és a háború kitörésétől kezdve, a megszálláson és a példátlan tömeggyilkosságokon át egészen 1945 utolsó napjaiig.

A második világháború gyökeresen különbözött minden korábbi konfliktustól.

The 2025 'Remember. August 23' campaign sheds light on how the violence of totalitarian regimes continues to echo across generations. Though the regimes have fallen, the trauma lives on - passed down in silence, fear, and unresolved memory.

Under the 2025 campaign theme ”The Wounds Can Be Healed,” we place special emphasis not only on the fates of individual victims, but also on the long-term effects of totalitarian violence, specifically, intergenerational trauma.

23 August marks the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Totalitarian Regimes. Join us in remembering, reflecting, and beginning the path toward healing.
