Marína Zavacká is Senior Researcher at the Institute of History, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava, focusing on the history of propaganda and regime loyalties in the 20th century, culture of remembrance, and wider contexts of social and political history of Central and Eastern Europe.
As an external lecturer, she teaches related courses at Comenius University, Bratislava, at the departments of History and of Russian and Eastern European studies. In addition to her scholarly publications, she is actively involved in public history and in translating historical books from English.
In 2019-2025 she served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nation’s Memory Institute.
