A convention which will gather Polish prominent historians will take place in Szczecin, a city of long and complicated history, a city of various nations and ethnic groups.
Some of the sessions and panels, covering the whole range of Polish history, will focus on the 20th century history, especially on such topics as:
Experiences of Polish people during the world wars
German occupation in Poland, its perception and memory
Problem of historical education
A special discussion entitled "25 years after the Autumn of the Nations in Central Europe 1989-2014” will be held with the participation of historians from different central-European countries.
ENRS will be represented at the convention by prof. Jan Rydel.
