Official commemorations of the European Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Totalitarian Regimes

This year the official events honouring the European Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Totalitarian Regimes will take place in Tallinn, Estonia. A conference entitled “The Criminal Legacy of Communism and Nazism” will be held in the Museum of Occupations. Among the participants of the event there will be ministers of justice of  Estonia and Lithuania, and representatives of ministers of justice from several European countries. Polish President, Andrzej Duda, will hold a press conference in Tallinn's Museum of Occupations. 

The first conference panel will focus on the need to declare Communist regimes criminal and culpable for their crimes against humanity, which will be discussed by representatives of the ministries of justice. In the second panel, members of remembrance institutes and organisations will talk about the measures to prevent the rise of Communism and Nazism in the future.  European Network Remembrance and Solidarity will be represented by the director of ENRS Secretariat, Rafał Rogulski.
