Mr Zoltán Balog, Minister of Human Capacities of Hungary entrusted Mrs Réka Földváryné Kiss to hold the position of the Hungarian coordinator of the ENRS.
Mrs Réka Földváryné Kiss, Phd (2009) is a historian, chair of the Committee of National Remembrance of Hungary. She studied in Hungary, Denmark and Scotland; later worked for the Institute of Ethnology of Research Center for the Humanities, Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 2000 to 2014, where she became senior research fellow in 2012. She took part – as guest lecturer – in the Historical Anthropology Program of the Department of Cultural History of the Faculty of Humanities at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest; she also worked for the Department of Contemporary History and at the Phd School of European Ethnology.
Her main research areas are the relations between the church and the Hungarian state during the communist period, the retaliations and political trials after the Hungarian revolution of 1956, and social-history after 1945. She is author, co-author and editor of ten books and about eighty scientificial studies.
She was elected to be chair of the Committee of National Remembrance by the National Assembly of Hungary in 2014.
