Between 21 and 22 November 2016 the annual ENRS Assemblies Meeting took place in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The joint meeting of the members of the ENRS advisory bodies, i.e. Academic Council and Advisory Board, accompanied by the ENRS Steering Committee members, was held in order to summarize the activities already implemented, and to discuss present challenges, and future development of the Network.
Eighteen representatives of the worlds of learning, culture, and politics from seven countries (Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Albania, Austria and Romania) took part in a debate on ENRS short-term plans and long-term objectives, and presented their views on the role of the Network in a changing Europe.
ENRS Assemblies Meeting in Bratislava also gave an opportunity to visit the Devín Castle. The trip, organised by the Nation’s Memory Institute, aimed at commemorating the victims of dictatorships who were shot, trying to escape to Austria during the Cold War.
