Professor Dariusz Stola announced to be the Director of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews

Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski announced professor Dariusz Stola to be the next Director of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

The Museum of the History of Polish Jews started to opened it’s door to the public in April 2013, and the opening of the Core Exhibition is scheduled for autumn this year. Museum has a broad cultural, educational and research programme. Professor Stola will start his term as the sirector on 1 March 2014.

Professor Dariusz Stola is a historian, professor at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences and at Collegium Civitas, and a fellow at the Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw. He has served on the boards of several Polish and international institutions for education and research in contemporary history, including Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for European History in Vienna, History Meeting House in Warsaw and Karta Centre Foundation in Warsaw. He is a member of the Scientific Council of European Network Remembrance and Solidarity.
