The Warsaw presentation is part of the official programme for the commemoration of the centenary of the Battle of Warsaw. 2020 marks the centenary of this battle of great importance for the course of the process of delineating state borders, Poland’s road to independence as well as interrupting the Red Army’s march to the West, threatening to spill the Bolshevik revolution over to many European countries. The Polish-Soviet War as well as the battle itself continue to be of fundamental significance for Polish identity and memory. By taking into account various viewpoints and narratives, the exhibition’s unique format lets the visitor perceive the Battle of Warsaw from a broader European perspective. The importance of the event is shown in international context, which facilitates a better understanding of its significance and role in the process of shaping the European order following the First World War.
