4th International Congress of Polish History begins today in Kraków

The 4th Congress of International Researchers of Polish History in Kraków is about to begin! The theme of the Congress is 'meetings of cultures'. The history of Polish lands will be shown through the prism of mutual relations and interactions with decades- and centuries-old trends and cultural patterns.

We invite you to watch the live transmission of the Congress. During the inauguration panel, moderated by Jacek Purchla (Winner of the Pro Historia Polonorum Award), Timothy Garton Ash (United Kingdom) will give a lecture 'From Post-War Europe to Post-Wall Europe – and Back'. Tomorrow (on 20 October), during the panel 'Institutions Supporting, Promoting and Disseminating Research on the History and Cultural Heritage of Poland' Rafał Rogulski (Director of the ENRS) will present the aim and mission of our Network.
