Coup d’état and dictatorship of Primo de Rivera in Spain

On 23 September 1923, General Miguel Primo de Rivera orchestrated a coup d’état. The Spanish parliamentary government collapsed. With support from the King Alfonso XIII, Primo de Rivera established a dictatorship (1923-1930).
