The European Network Remembrance and Solidarity (ENRS) has extended the deadline to 1 November 2026 for its international journalism competition, “Grand Stories. Journalism Awards: The End of the Cold War – 35 Years After”.
The competition invites journalists worldwide to explore how the events of 1991 continue to shape contemporary politics, societies, identities and international relations.
Journalists, including freelancers working with editorial offices, may submit up to three original works published between 1 January and 1 November 2026 in three categories: Written, Audio and Audiovisual.
An international jury will award €2,500 to the winner of each category.
New submission deadline: 1 November 2026, 11:59 p.m. CET.
Entries must include proof of publication and, where applicable, an English translation, transcript or subtitles.
