On 26 June 2025, the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity (ENRS) convened its annual General Assemblies meeting in Warsaw, uniting representatives from across Europe to reflect on the past year, chart strategic directions, and strengthen international cooperation.
This year’s gathering marked an important milestone: it was the first Assemblies meeting to include the Czech Republic as a full member of the ENRS, following its official accession on 19 May 2025. We were honoured to welcome Mr. Stanislav Škoda and Dr. Pavla Plachá of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes in Prague - newly appointed to the ENRS Advisory Board and the Academic Council, respectively.
We were also pleased to host Dr. Ingrida Veliutė, Vice Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. Lithuania currently holds observer status within the ENRS, and we look forward with optimism to its future as a full member of our growing Network.
The Assemblies’ agenda featured key highlights such as the presentation of the 2024 activity report, planning for 2025 projects, and a detailed review of the draft ENRS strategy. Opening remarks were delivered by Director Rafał Rogulski, Prof. Matthias Weber (Deputy Chair of the Steering Committee), Prof. Attila Pók (Chairman of the Academic Council), and Robert Kostro (Chairman of the Advisory Board).
We were glad to host all members of our Assemblies, both long-standing and new, observers and full members alike, representing a broad and engaged community from across Europe. These international gatherings remain vital for fostering shared values and collaborative projects in the field of remembrance and solidarity.
