The annual ENRS General Assemblies meeting took place on February 21, 2022.
Due to safety reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 ENRS Assemblies Meeting was held online. It was attended by 21 representatives from 10 member countries nad supported by 8 staffers of the ENRS Warsaw Secretariat. The discussions focused mainly on ENRS plans for 2022 and prospects for 2023.
The meeting included both plenary sessions and separate meetings of the Academic Council and Advisory Board. Representatives of the ENRS Secretariat presented a comprehensive report on the Network’s activities and projects in 2021 and their editions planned for 2022 and 2023; gave an overview of ENRS PR and communications; as well as presented the current financial structure of the ENRS and prospects for the future. Participants discussed strategic issues of the Network, such as accession of new member states to the ENRS, perspectives of the Network’s development and prospects for the years 2022 and 2023. The challenges for the Network in the face of recent developments in international historical policy in Europe were also addressed. Assemblies’ members also discussed the dangers brought on by the Russian memory politics and the possible action of ENRS in response to these threats.
