Estonian and US victims of communism museums to begin cooperation

We are very happy to spread the information about the cooperation of Eesti Mälu Instituut (Estonian Institute of Historical Memory) and Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, which has tied up during this year's edition of European Remembrance Symposium.

The institutions signed up a cooperation agreement about establishing two international Museums for the Victims of Communism that will be opened on both sides of Atlantic: in Tallinn by 2026 and in Washington by 2022.

The aim of cooperation is to raise international awareness regarding communist regimes' mass crimes and their victims' fate. Both research and awareness-raising activities will be subject to mutual aid.
