Freedom Festival in Bratislava, 3-17 November

The Freedom Festival in will take place from 3rd till 17th November in Bratislava. The event will be co-organised by the ENRS.

 

The Freedom Festival is a multi-genre international festival that commemorates and analyzes the period of non-freedom in Slovakia. It brings several interesting documentaries and features films, exhibitions, and theatre performances accompanied by discussions. The main theme of this year's edition of the festival will be the anniversary of the event on 17 November 1989, which led to the fall of the totalitarian communist regime, as well as the events of 1968: Prague Spring, the invasion and occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Warsaw Pact troops.

All festival events are free to enter. The exception is the ceremonial opening of the festival on 3 November at 6 p.m., where the admission is limited to invitations. Joanna Orłoś, the Head of Project Department, will represent the ENRS during the official opening.

The Freedom Festival is organised by Nation's Memory Institute and co-organised by the ENRS.
