German Nazi storming of Czech universities

Following demonstrations against the Nazi occupation at the end of October and in the first half of November 1939, Germans decided to close Czech universities and punish student representatives.

On 17 November, Nazi troops stormed university dormitories in Prague and other Czech towns. Nine leaders of student unions were executed without trial. Some 1200 students were sent to concentration camps.
