Upcoming Hi-Story Lessons webinar: Eva Paddock’s Story: Rescue from the Holocaust

We invite teachers and educators to join our upcoming webinar, “Eva Paddock’s Story – Rescue from the Holocaust,” which will feature Eva Paddock herself as a speaker.

Eva Paddock is a Holocaust survivor who, at just three and a half years old, escaped German-Nazi-occupied Europe through the Kindertransport. In July 1939, she and her sister were among the children sent from Prague to safety in England on one of the last Czech Kindertransport trains organised by Sir Nicholas Winton.

During this unique session, you will have the opportunity to meet Eva live and hear her story of rescue, resilience, and rebuilding a life in a new country. Drawing on her long career as a teacher and headteacher, Eva will also share thoughtful reflections on how to approach Holocaust education with care, sensitivity, and clarity.

Date: 24 March 2026
Time: 17:00 CET | 16:00 UK & Ireland
Language: English

During the webinar, participants will:
• 20-minute film featuring Eva’s testimony
• Three ready-to-use classroom activities based on the stories of Eva and Milena
• Two introductory articles providing historical context

The webinar is designed for teachers, educators, and students who wish to explore Holocaust history through personal testimony while fostering responsible and meaningful classroom discussion.
