Liberation of Bergen Belsen

British forces liberated the Bergen Belsen concentration camp in Northern-Germany on 15 April 1945. The soldiers discovering the camp where accompanied by journalists who documented the liberation of the camp and the gruesome discoveries made there, making it one of the most emblematic and well-known example of the German-Nazi crimes in the world.

The 2014 movie ‘Night Will Fall’ shows some of the previously unpublished material captured at Bergen Belsen after having been forgotten in British archives for decades:
