We are sad to share the news that Maria Rydlowa has passed away on 17 December. Mrs Rydlowa was an irreplaceable curator of Rydlówka Museum, a long-time editor of Wydawnictwo Literackie, and a soldier of The Home Army (Polish: Armia Krajowa).
The lectures she has given and the tours she has conducted over the years are fondly remembered by several generations of visitors. Her personality, passion, knowledge, as well as personal memories and experiences, shaped the outstanding Rydlówka Museum. Maria Rydlowa was the guardian of tradition, the personification of the history and cultural heritage of Bronowice Małe. Her death marks the end of an era.
We are disturbed and saddened by her death. In this sorrowful time, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family.
The date of the funeral of Mrs. Rydlowa is not yet known. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 9 January 2022 at 11:30 am in the Church of St. Antoni (Pod Strzechą 18, Bronowice Małe). The date of the funeral will be announced later on.
