Réka Földváryné Kiss remains chair of the Committee of National Remembrance in Hungary

The MPs of the Hungarian National Assembly reelected Réka Földváryné Kiss as chairperson of the Committee of National Remembrance in Hungary.

Dr Réka Földváryné Kiss is a historian, ethnographer. She studied in Hungary, Denmark and Scotland. She worked for the Institute of Ethnology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 2000, where she became a senior research fellow in 2012. She was a guest lecturer at the Department of Cultural History and the Department of Contemporary Hungarian History of the Faculty of Humanities at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest. On 3. February 2014 Földváryné Kiss was elected as Chair of the Committee of National Remembrance by the National Assembly of Hungary fot the first time. 

She has been a member of the ENRS Steering Committee since 2015.

Dr Réka Földváryné Kiss was reelected as chairperson of the Committee of National Remembrance in Hungary on 7. December 2022.The four members of the Committee, Barbara Bank, István Ötvös, Áron Máthé, Viktor Attila Soós also acquired the MPs’ trust for the next 9-year-long mandate.
