According to the rules of the Sound in the Silence project, the jury have chosen schools for the 2026 edition of the programme. During an open recruitment, nearly 200 schools from across Europe submitted their applications. The jury selected four schools who will join us this autumn in Gernika, Basque Country, Spain.
We have a pleasure to announce that the successful candidates are:
Gymnasio me Lykeiakes Takseis Xirokampiou Lakonias (Greece);
Liceo Carlo Tenca (Italy);
Sarriguren Secondary School (Spain);
Põlva Gymnasium (Estonia).
Thank you for the overwhelming interest in this year's edition of Sound in the Silence. We were moved by the sheer number of applications received, nearly 200 schools from across Europe, and even more so by their quality. The level was remarkably high, and it was an incredibly difficult task for the jury to select only four schools from so many thoughtful and passionate submissions.
We also have exciting news for schools that were not selected this time - we will soon be announcing an interesting offer especially for you. Stay tuned!
