Rafał Rogulski, Director of the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity (ENRS), participated in an international conference in Taiwan on 10 December 2025, Human Rights Day.
The conference, titled "Historical Memory and Democratic Deepening: Taiwan's Transitional Justice Experience and International Dialogue," was organized by Taiwan's Executive Yuan Department of Human Rights and Transitional Justice. Rogulski addressed how ENRS promotes transnational dialogue and research through international cooperation and educational initiatives to foster shared understanding of totalitarian histories among European countries.
The two-day event brought together experts from across the globe to discuss approaches to transitional justice and historical memory. Rogulski participated in Session 6, "Remembering Totalitarian History in Poland and the Czech Republic: Approaches to Memory Transmission and Cross-national Cooperation," alongside Vendula Krejčová from Post Bellum, Czech Republic.
His presentation focused on ENRS's work in promoting cross-national cooperation and the challenges facing memory institutions in evolving social and political contexts.
Other international speakers at the conference included representatives from Spain, Germany, Lithuania, South Korea, and Hungary, reflecting the global nature of efforts to address totalitarian pasts and promote democratic values through historical memory work.
