The beginning of the dictatorship of King Carol II

On 10 February 1938, King Carol II establishes a royal dictatorship in Romania. He suspends the Constitution and all civil liberties. He names Patriarch Miron Cristea, the head of the Romanian Orthodox Church, in front of the government.
