To our dear friends and colleagues from Ukraine,
In this dark hour, when Ukraine faces an unprovoked military invasion from Russia, we wish to express our solidarity with all of you, your families and friends.
Since the beginnings of the ENRS, we have cooperated with individuals and organisations from Ukraine on many occasions: be it academic conferences, exhibitions or educational programmes. Most recently, as a part of the 2021 ‘In Between?’ project, we had a pleasure of working with a group of Ukrainian students, who took part in workshops, conducted study visits in the Polish-Ukrainian borderland region and prepared podcasts about multiethnicity and preserving the identity of national minorities.
We greatly value Ukraine's contribution to building a common European culture of remembrance and, as we have done so far, we will always invite you to be a part of our projects.
However, the ENRS is not only an international institution dealing with 20th-century history, but also a group of people who have been watching the events unfold in Ukraine with increasing horror and concern for your, our friends’, safety. If we can help you in any way, please contact us. We will do what is possible to support you in these dreadful times.
With hope that peace will return soon, Rafał Rogulski with the ENRS team
