Eighty years after the end of World War II, the way we remember and teach about the war remains a crucial challenge. As firsthand witnesses grow fewer, the responsibility to engage younger generations in meaningful discussions about war, trauma, and memory becomes even more pressing.
This two-day international event will bring together historians, educators, and memorial site practitioners to explore the unfinished consequences of WWII and the evolving narratives that shape our understanding of the past. As part of the ‘WWII – 80 Years After’ campaign, this conference and workshop serve as a platform for critical dialogue, ensuring that the lessons of WWII remain relevant for future generations.
