The European Solidarity Centre in cooperation with European Network Remembrance and Solidarity and partners prepared the Freedom Bell concert to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Polish section of Radio Free Europe. The concert took place on 8 December 2012 at St. John’s Centre in Gdańsk. Its guiding theme was the contrasting viewpoints on Poland’s post-war history. These were presented from the perspective of two opposing media – Radio Free Europe and Dziennik Telewizyjny (the official news programme of Polish state television in the People’s Republic of Poland).
