Stanislav Škoda is a Czech translator and writer with a focus on 20th-century Spanish history. Born in 1976, he has served as editor-in-chief of the Paseka publishing house and as director of the Czech Centre in Madrid.
He has translated numerous works from Spanish and authored a range of essays on modern Spanish history. He is the author of Cuba. The Island That Seemed (Dybbuk, 2007) and co-author of Myths about Socialist Times (People in Need, 2010).
Since joining the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes in Prague, he has led the Editorial Department, overseeing the Institute’s publishing and editorial projects.
