Along with the "In Between?" project's team we invite you to Warsaw on 2 and 3 December. Come to see what we have achieved so far and to discuss the relevance of oral history in the contemporary world.
How to translate individual memories and ethnographic data into cultural or social initiatives? What role can local communities play in the process? What is the relevance of oral history in the contemporary world? These are just a few of the questions for which every history- and memory-oriented researcher, social activist, artist or cultural entrepreneur needs to find their own answer.
The aim of the “In Between?” conference is to create an interdisciplinary platform to discuss these vital issues, pose new questions and exchange experiences among peers.
Its program is inspired by an interdisciplinary project carried out by ENRS under the same name, devoted to exploring local histories of European borderlands. For more information see: enrs.eu/inbetween
The program includes: presentations of the study visits, a speed geeking session, screening of the “The Border” documentary, lecture and discussion panels. All event are held in English.
