You can now register for the 10th edition of the European Remembrance Symposium 'Reconciliation: a long and winding path', which we organise together with Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation and Bundesinstitut für Kultur und Geschichte der Deutschen im östlichen Europa (BKGE).

For the tenth time we invite representatives of governments, cultural and academic institutions and experts from non-governmental and public organizations, to meet on 1-3 June in Dublin (Trinity College, The Burke Theatre). Among this year's panelists are Dr. Piotr Cywiński (Poland), Prof. Dr. Yaroslav Hrytsak (Ukraine), Sergei Metlev (Estonia), Dr. Audrey Whitty (Ireland) and many more.

The aim of this edition is to discuss the meaning and role of reconciliation in the context of both historical and contemporary European internal and international conflicts. When exploring the theme, participants will consider various paths, mechanisms and tools of reconciliation and will examine the importance of lay and religious initiatives for reconciliation, involving both non-governmental and public institutions as well as civil society.
