On 22-26 February 2023 the ENRS team will attend a workshop in Brussles "Discovering regional culture and history together as a basis for a European future".
The director of ENRS Rafał Rogulski will speak in a panel "Possibilities and limits of (re-)presenting “European history” on Thursday 23 February at 1:30 PM in the House of European History.
Eight European cities are the focus of the "UrbanSpaces" cooperation project on urban development in the interwar period in Europe (1918-1939), which is being coordinated by the Opladener Geschichtsverein von 1979 e.V. Leverkusen together with the Jülicher Geschichtsverein 1923 e.V. and the University of Cologne.
The research is being carried out by the historical societies, archives, museums, universities etc. in the participating cities of Bracknell (UK), Jülich (DE), Leverkusen (DE), Ljubljana (SI), Oulu (FI), Raciborz (PL), Schwedt/Oder (DE) and Villeneuve d'Ascq (FR).
During the workshop at the European Committee of the Regions, the results of the cities will be presented and commented on by members of the project's Scientific Advisory Board and the relevant representatives of the CoR.
